Monkfish

Monkfish fresh off the boatMonkfish (Lophius americanus) is sweet and meaty.  Historically, it was referred to as “poor man’s lobster,” but today it is popular amongst culinary circles in America and Europe due to its versatility and flavor. High in protein and low in fat, it can be grilled, baked or pan roasted.

Cape Ann Seafood Exchange is a primary processor of monkfish, buying catches direct from local day boats and offshore vessels along the Eastern seaboard. Product is graded, processed and packed in our HACCP approved waterfront facility, ensuring the highest levels of quality and freshness. ensuring the highest levels of quality and freshness.

Fresh and frozen product is available year-round. Tails and fillets are IWP in 5, 6 kg and 10 lb boxes, whole are individually bagged in 20 kg take weight boxes.
